  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you please share where are you seeing this URL? If you wanted to share a screenshot, you can use this tool and share the link here

Meanwhile, you can follow the steps in this link to determine which plugin/theme is generating that link on your site:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

I have uploaded the screen shot

    https://ibb.co/NNG0DWp
    https://ibb.co/3RhyVzw

As you can see its a duplicate with the a different URL.

I have resubmitted the site map but issue still seems to persist.

If I were to add a canonical tag to the home page wont the rest of the normal URLs such as /blogpost be affected too?

    Hello,

Sorry for the confusion, but where did you first see the URL? Was it discovered in your Google Search Console account?

You mentioned above that it was indexed, but it’s not showing on the search results

    showing

Meanwhile, the canonical of that URL is already pointing to your homepage. You can also try any other words after ? and it will still show the correct canonical in the page’s source code:
    https://mysingaporekitchen.com/?rankmathtest
    https://mysingaporekitchen.com/?testing

This type of extension on the URL is called parameters. It is also possible that you have a previous plugin/theme that generates the ?pp=env at your URLs.

For more information about parameters, you can visit this article:
    https://ahrefs.com/blog/url-parameters/

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I tried to replicate the issue with multiple search terms but could not. Screenshot:

The ?pp=env parameter may already have been removed from Google’s search results index. If you continue seeing it, please try searching from an incognito/private tab to see if the same result shows. Please note, the parameter is not from Rank Math so please check your other plugins for the source of the parameter.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
