My website showing dual sitemap and one redirects to other

It seems you have somewhere set up a redirection from sitemap.xml to sitemap_index.xml.

I would tell you to try to find that redirection (it is not done by Rank Math) and remove it. But in any case, it is not creating an issue since you don’t have duplicate sitemaps, just a redirection.

could you please ensure also don’t have a redirection related to your sitemap.

It may also help to check if the issue happens when only Rank math is active with a default theme and if the issue still occurs, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
