My Site SEO gone down suddenly and sitemap shows 0 URLS in GSC

    Hi There,

    My website posts suddenly dropped ranking, it almost dropped from first page to last page. What could be the reason. Also when I search any posts in google it shows like https://ibb.co/5960qjK instead individual post page. Also my sitemap shows zero URL found in GSC.
    Please please help, I lost whole income since last week.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Upon checking your sitemap and robots.txt, it seems that they are working just fine. You can check them by submitting them to a validator tool:
    https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html
    https://technicalseo.com/tools/robots-txt/

    Please remove your old sitemap from your GSC and resubmit only the main sitemap page (ex.: https://yourwebsite.com/sitemap_index.xml).

    Hi Thanks for quick reply.

    Yes, I submitted new sitemap in GSC already 2 days back.

    I did right click on my website, view page source and searched for noindex term, I can find noindex text some where, will that effect my ranking or google ignoring my posts.

    Not sure what went wrong suddenly and Not even single posts appearing in first page which was happened few days back. Google dropped down all my posts.

    Hello,

    If you want the posts to be indexed and crawled you need to set the posts to indexed.

    There are a few things you must check to see why the posts aren’t getting indexed.

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    3. Check the sitemap settings and check if the posts are setup to be included in the sitemaps:

    Please note that it is completely up to Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

    I am extremely upset with that the discovered URLs still showing as zero. Until 26th Jan , everything was fine and suddenly my ranking dropped drastically. Until GSC indexed my site with sitemap ,my page ranked on first page. I resubmitted my sitemap https://www.thedealprice.in/sitemap_index.xml again and was waiting , no urls showing in count. As soon as GSC stopped reading, “Indexed, not submitted in sitemap” increased drastically, however it is of no use. Rank dropped to 50th position.
    I beg you guys please help me on this to see what went wrong.
    I can give access my site if required to see settings.

    Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry for the delay.

    I’ve checked your sitemap but it is already working fine and getting updated. However, it seems that your sitemap link was not declared in your /robots.txt. I’ve also checked your sitemap, and it seems that you haven’t verified the HTTP (or HTTPS) version of your website.

    Please ensure that only 1 version of the sitemap is working (200 Ok status), and the rest are redirecting to it. You can also use this tool to check. Please follow the steps in this link:

    Could you please add this line on the bottom part of your robots.txt and fix the correct version of your site?

    Then remove all the sitemaps you have submitted and resubmit your main sitemap only to your GSC account.
