My site cannot be found on Google - Support

hi there, i’m using the free version but considering the pro upgrade.

I just got started and read all the documentation and set up everything as best i could. I had already submitted both the sitemap_index.xml and the /page-sitemap.xml in the Google search console, i then set up everything for instant update as described in the documentation including the necessary propertys and permissions for the indexer.

When i query the status or submit individual page URLs i get the green success error every time. I have double checked all settings and made sure that the wordpress site indexing is enabled. Google cannot find the site even with the site: search method or when using text parts of the site to search.

How long does it take for a new website to appear in Google search results or should it appear within a few minutes and i configured sth wrong ?

I’ve checked your sitemap and robots.txt, but they seem to be fine.

Please note that it is completely normal for a newly published post/page/website to take time before it gets crawled or indexed by Google. It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URL.

Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed.

hey, thx for your help. It’s good to know that sitemap and robots are fine. For the moment only a single page can be found in Google search but in the searchconsole i can see that all pages are already indexed and crawled. I guess i’ll give it a couple of days to see how it’s progressing.

The coverage tab in Searchconsole is still empty i guess that’s also normal for a newly submitted site.

hi, just an update, i just received this error in Google Searchconsole, could this be why the site doesn’t appear in search results.

Hello,

As your website is new, you need to wait for Google to crawl and index your website.

Crawling and indexing of the website depends on the authority and crawl budget of the website.

Also, the Sitelinks Searchbox Schema is validated without any issues.

Please submit the URL for validation in the Search Console and wait for Google to validate.
