My Rich Pins are not working. I am unable to tag my products on Pinterest

#924005
  • Hello,

Each time we try to tag my products using our website url, it comes out as invalid parameters on product tags or blank images showing with an error. We are not able to tag our products. Previously we have been using pinterest for woocommerce with no issues, we then noticed a significant drop in traffic. On checking the pinterest plugin, we noticed an error notification stating that there is a clash with rank math plugin and our rich pins will be affected. We then deactivated the pinterest plugin and decided to use Xml file for our catalogue. This too hanst helped and we are still unable to tag our products. Can you check to see what the issue is and resolve the problem? We dont know if open graph is configured correctly and Schema. We are no longer receiving traffic from pinterest. We have contacted Pinterest and they have said its from our end.
The only initial flag we had was from the pinterest plugin which stated that rich pins will not be displayed correctly due to a clash with rank math plugin. We appreciate your help with this. Here is the image showing the issue with tagging the product: https://imgur.com/RpnPt1z

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please share the affected product page URL here so we can check it from our end.

    Looking forward to helping you.

i was doing a bit of digging in into the issue with pinterest. The problem is from open graph configuration our website and not pinterest.

I tested the link using Opengraph and i found that the same issue where the images dont show is occuring here too. that means that our pins will not be distributed accross the pinterest network.

About 90% of the urls are affected. I used this link to test : https://www.opengraph.xyz/

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Can you please make sure that the thumbnail overlay is toggled off?

Please refer to the screenshot below :

Also, confirm if the “Default Thumbnail Watermark” is set as “Off” under Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Global Meta > Default Thumbnail Watermark

Please refer to the screenshot below :

After following these steps please clear all cache on your site/server and then test the URL in Facebook sharing Debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

The thumbnail is not enabled. The issue is that some links display the image using the open graph link while some do not display any image and its blank. What do you think is causing the issue? 90 % of our images are not displaying an image.

    Hello,

In that case, please follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-image-not-displaying/

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Our plugin is adding the opengraph tags correctly to your site pages. However, the issue could be related to the image size. Please try using the image size recommended by Pinterest, 1000 x 1500 pixels with a 2:3 aspect ratio.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
