  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Usually, 403 errors are permission issues with your current firewall or security plugin that you have installed on your website.

Please follow this guide and whitelist the routes in Wordfence:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/whitelist-rank-math-in-wordfence/

If it’s showing the 403 error in the instant indexing plugin, to fix this, make sure the service account is listed as Owner for the site in Search Console.

Please follow the steps illustrated here to solve the issue:
    https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/#num-6-2-403-permission-denied-failed-to-verify-the-url-ownership

    Looking forward to helping you.

What should be the rate limiting option? Shall i Switch it on or off?

    Hello,

Though we’ve not seen such issues with that option, as that option sets limits for crawlers, you should keep it disabled.

However, for more details regarding WordFence options, we suggest you reach out to the WordFence team as they would be in a better position to assist you.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.
