I recently installed RankMath and I was very happy with it. But I just published a new blog post and submitted it to GSC. I couldn’t understand why it’s not showing up in the search results. Then I Googled ‘why hasn’t Google indexed my page’. The first and most common reason it gave was the presence of a ‘no index’ tag in the web page. So I checked, and sure enough, there’s a ‘no index’ tag in the header of that blog post. The tag was inserted by RankMath! I’ve checked in the SEO Titles and Meta section of my RankMath installation, and in ‘blog posts’ the ‘no index’ field is not checked. So I don’t understand why this has happened. But needless to say, I’m going to uninstall Rankmath and go back to using Yoast SEO. This is a really bad unintended consequence of using RankMath! I hope you can fix it, because it’s otherwise an excellent plugin.
