However, your other sitemaps from product-sitemap1 to product-sitemap257 are working fine. This could mean that you have fewer products on your site now and you don’t need the extra sitemaps anymore, from product-sitemap257 to product-sitemap298.
The reason why these ‘extra sitemaps’ are still showing on your sitemap index could be because there are still some caching issue on your site. To fix this, please add a small piece of code to your site that will disable the caching of your sitemaps. You can copy and paste this code:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Now, coming back to your original question: We can see that images are appearing on your other sitemaps, which means the feature is working correctly. But here are some possible reasons why your image was not showing up on that sitemap:
- You may be using a page builder or a special plugin to add the images to your products. Sometimes Rank Math may not recognize images that are added using other plugins or page builders.
- The images may not be hosted on your own domain. Rank Math only lists images that are hosted on your own domain. If you’re using a CDN or an external image hosting service to host the image, Rank Math may not recognize it. If the images are hosted on your subdomain, you’ll need to let Rank Math know using this code: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#sitemap-cdn-urls
- It’s also important to know that Rank Math only includes images that are in the main content area of your products, not in the featured images or custom fields.
