Missing field “thumbnailUrl”

    Hi,

    I have Rank Math PRO, but I do not know how to open a ticket in PRO forum, so I am doing it here…

    I am getting this error for all the pages where I have YouTube videos embed: Missing field “thumbnailUrl”

    The fix you have shared here is not working for me. Also, I see some weird things going one here, in the video sitemap as well. Please, take a look.

    So far I have just two pages with videos inside, but in the sitemap 9 are displayed with some errors.

    In the Google search console the fetching error is appearing and disappearing occasionally. I am connecting that to Rank Math updates.

    Could you please take a look? Do you need login credentials?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The thumbnailUrl file is grabbed from your featured image. If you have not set a featured image, please do so from your post. Here is where it is located on block editor:

    As for the sitemap, please flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    Then try to exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin.

    The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting back.

    I did not know about featured image… I will find something.

    However, for the video sitemap, this recommendation did not work for me. I have no idea what that data is and from where is coming from…

    I am using breeze caching plugin and there I have an option to exclude any URLs, but that may not be the case here…

    Maybe you know something about the breeze?

    Hello,

    Once you have set the feature images on your posts with videos, try flushing your Sitemap cache again and see if it is generating correctly.

    If you are still having issues, share with us your WP-Admin details in the Sensitive Data to have a look.

    Let us know the outcome.

    Hi,

    That with featured image is fine. What bugs me is that sitemap error for videos. This here: https://santi.rs/video-sitemap.xml

    I have used just 2 YT videos on the whole website. And those 2 are listed correctly (ignore thumbnail issue here, I am not referring to that).

    Why I have 8 videos in the sitemap instead of just 2? And those 6 excesses look like they do not exist?

    I’ve left you admin credentials.

    Hello,

    We are not sure how you added the Schema but it was broken and we had to remove it and the Schema template as well to fix this issue.

    The Video Schema Template you had created was adding the broken Video Schema to those pages and we have fixed it. Please check it now and let us know if there is anything else you need help with.

    I obviously have somebody in the office experimenting without my Knowledge. I have never created a Video Schema Template…
