Missing “canonical” in paging pages/posts

#492342
  • My posts already set index but the HTML code on Page 2 doesn’t have “canonical” header.

    My URL: https://aothun.net/tui-vai-totebag/tui-day-rut/page/2/

    It only add “noindex” to header
    <meta name="robots" content="follow, noindex"/>

    This will affect to Google Search Console.

    How can I add “canonical” automatically on paging pages/posts?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    When a page is set to noindex it doesn’t need a canonical because it’s not intended to be indexed on SERPs.

    If you would like to make sure that pagination pages are getting indexed you simply need to disable the option to noindex paginated pages from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages.

    Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
