Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing. Here’s a brief overview of the Noindex options available in Rank Math that you mentioned:
1. Noindex Subpages
This option allows you to control whether subpages of your main posts or pages should be indexed by search engines. If you enable this option, all subpages (like /page/2
, /page/3
, etc.) will be set to noindex, meaning they will not appear in search results. This can be useful if you want to avoid cluttering search results with multiple pages of the same content.
2. Noindex Paginated Single Pages
Similar to the above, this setting allows you to noindex paginated pages of single posts and related content. If enabled, it prevents these paginated pages from showing up in search results, which can help improve the overall SEO of your site by focusing on the main content.
3. Noindex Password Protected Pages
This option lets you decide whether password-protected pages should be indexed or not. It is generally recommended to enable this setting to ensure that these pages are not indexed by search engines, as they contain restricted content.
Given that your site is focused on free online games and does not have user sign-ups, it might be beneficial to review these settings to ensure they align with your SEO strategy. If you believe some settings may have been configured incorrectly, we recommend checking your Titles & Meta settings in Rank Math to confirm they are set according to your preferences.
If you have further questions or need a more detailed analysis, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

How to NoIndex Paginated Pages » Rank Math
I applied the suggestions, but the other 2 options I don’t know how to handle properly.
Noindex Subpages and Noindex Paginated Single Pages disabled?
I’ve added noindex all 4 settings.
I have a free online game site and I added two buttons: one to go to the previous post and one to go to the next post. The posts are games that are not related to each other. Is it bad SEO to have back and forth buttons between posts of online games to play?
Could I have conflict issues with the added noindexes?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.
It is recommended to noindex the paginated pages to save the crawl budget. The buttons to navigate to the previous and next posts won’t negatively affect your site’s SEO.
