    Hello,

Since some renowned journals like nejm.org, nature.com, springer.com, and many others charge a significant amount of money to grant us the right to republish ONE article on our website, we are considering writing a summary article (conclusion) on our blog (with a personalized title related to the official article title, using synonyms for keywords and phrases) and including a link to the official article.

Our mini articles, as I’ve called them, will have a title, a summary (our researcher’s conclusion on the official article, and some of them will include an image). We’ll make our title a link to the official article in the journal where it’s published.

What impact will these articles have on the SEO of our website? Will they add SEO value to us?
Or do you have some other technic to do that?

    regards
    George

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing. Writing summary articles or mini articles that provide a conclusion or insights based on official articles can have a positive impact on your website’s SEO, provided they are done correctly. Here are some points to consider:

    1. Unique Content: Ensure that your summaries are unique and provide value beyond just rephrasing the original article. Google values content that offers new insights or perspectives.

    2. Keyword Optimization: Using synonyms for keywords and phrases related to the original article can help in optimizing your content for search engines. Make sure to include relevant keywords naturally within your text.

    3. Internal Linking: Linking to the original article is a good practice as it provides context and credibility to your content. It also helps in building relationships with other authoritative sites.

    4. Engagement: If your summaries engage readers and encourage them to explore more of your content, this can lead to lower bounce rates and higher dwell time, both of which are positive signals for SEO.

    5. Image Usage: Including relevant images can enhance user experience and make your articles more appealing, which can indirectly benefit SEO.

    6. Content Freshness: Regularly updating your blog with new articles can signal to search engines that your site is active, which can positively influence rankings.

In summary, if executed well, these mini articles can add SEO value to your website. However, it’s essential to focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that provides real value to your readers. Hey,
thank you for your fast reply.

    One major meaning question please.

In our case the official article has the title:
“Medical research: Time to think differently about diabetes”
    this is an article here:
    https://www.nature.com/articles/533459a

our “mini article” in our blog which it will be link to the above article for someone that wants to read the full article, it’s better to have the same title with the official article or to have a synonym title, a title little different but with the same meaning?

We think to give a synonum title in our “mini article” and to write the official article title just below as <h2> or something else? What is your opinion?

    our “mini article” description/conclusion is:
“The potential for gastrointestinal surgery to improve blood sugar levels more effectively than any drug intervention or lifestyle change, or even lead to long-term remission of type 2 diabetes, gives us hope of finding a cure for the disease!”

    Regards
    George

    Hello,

In terms of SEO, using a title for your “mini article” that is a synonym or a variation of the official article title can be beneficial. It allows your content to stand out in search results and avoids potential duplicate content issues.

Also, a synonym-based title lets you target additional keywords that might not be covered by the original title, broadening your content’s reach. For example, while the official title might target specific keywords, your variation could capture a different search intent or related terms.

Generally, a synonym-based title with the original title included in the article as a subheading is an excellent approach. This method allows for uniqueness while maintaining relevance and clarity.

Your proposed mini-article description/conclusion appears to be concise and informative, which is great for engaging readers. Just ensure that it offers unique value or perspective, as this is what search engines, like Google, favor.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
