    I still need help

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

At the moment, we do not have the option of importing data from Squirrly directly.

Initially, we relied on migrating the data to SEO Press or Yoast and then to Rank Math. However, Squirlly SEO must have changed how they save their data so much that importing through these plugins stopped working correctly. Yoast even has an open GitHub issue for this: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/19878

Specifically, these plugins do not import metadata from Squirrly SEO and as such, you’ll have to complete this step by importing these.

If you would like to proceed, follow these guides:
    https://www.seopress.org/support/guides/import-post-metadatas-from-squirrly-to-seopress/
    https://rankmath.com/kb/seopress-migration/

After this, you need to update the metadata in bulk by editing the metadata via a CSV file and then import to Rank Math. Here is a guide you can follow: https://rankmath.com/kb/editing-seo-meta-at-scale/#csv

Please note that while this process is designed to be straightforward, it has not been tested. This was followed by one of our users and we’ve not tested to confirm the outcome.

It is prudent to take a backup of your site before making these changes, to safeguard against any unintended outcomes.

We hope that helps, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

I’m sorry, I’m confused. In one sentence you say that these imports do not work but the next sentence you tell me to do it and offer a link for SEOpress. Does the link for SEOpress work? I don’t know what to do here.

    Hello,

You may need to install the SEOPress plugin first, then do the import from Squirrly.

Once done, you can then import the data from SEOPress to Rank Math.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the option to directly import the data from Squirrly to Rank Math, so you may need to do that process to achieve that.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I have now RankMath and Sqirrly SEO installed, is it OK to add another one?

OK, I did this but it still looks the same, I don’t see any metadata from SEOPress. I imported frist from Squirrly SEO to SEOPress then imported from SEOPress to RankMath but it still looks the same. How do I know it actually imported? RankMath said it imported, but where will I see the actual import?

    Hello,

In this case, we suggest editing the metadata in bulk via a CSV file and then import to Rank Math. Here is a guide you can follow: https://rankmath.com/kb/editing-seo-meta-at-scale/#csv

Hope this help and do not hesitate to let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you

This doesn’t mean it is not there, I just don’t know how to check to see if it is there. Plus, where am I getting the CSV from to upload? What are the steps, I know how to upload, but there has to be data before this step.

    Hello,

To clarify the process, after importing metadata from SEOPress into Rank Math, you can verify whether the data has been successfully transferred by following these steps:

    1. Go to one of the posts or pages where you expected metadata to be imported, then scroll down to the Rank Math SEO meta box. This is where you’ll find the SEO title, meta description, and other SEO-related information. If the metadata was successfully imported, this information should reflect the data from Squirrly SEO.

    2. If you still don’t see the imported data, the next step would be to export the metadata into a CSV, edit it if needed, and import it back to Rank Math. You can follow this guide to help with bulk editing: Editing SEO Meta at Scale.

Let us know if you’re still having trouble or need further guidance, and we’d be happy to assist.

    Thanks.

I noticed that I get the Meta Data, but not the keywords. So I have to manually re-score each post with the keyword.

    Hello,

If you’re referring to the keywords and score in the post list view, you can recalculate the scores in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/rank-math-status-and-tools/#recalculate-seo-score-for-posts

Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use Easy Mode.

You can follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/

    Looking forward to helping you.

Yes, but doesn’t there have to be a focus keyword already there? That is what I’m saying, there no focus keyword selected. It is blank when I visit the post because it didn’t come over in the import. When performing the import in RankMath, keyword is not listed to be imported.

    Hello,

It seems like SEO Press is not able to import the focus keyword from Squirrly SEO. Since the keyword is not present in SEO Press, it will not be imported to our plugin. In this case, you can use the Bulk Editing option of our plugin to add the keywords to your posts: https://rankmath.com/kb/bulk-editing-in-rank-math/#quick-edit-seo-details

Once done, navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Status & Tools > Database Tools and Update SEO Scores to generate the SEO scores for the posts.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
