meta variable for custom field of custom taxonomy in post

    Hello

    I know how to add more variables with the hooks. But how to get the value from a custom field of a custom taxonomy in a post? (same like the taxonomy description field, which is integrated by default also for posts). Is this also possible via hooks?

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Can you please confirm if the custom field is available inside the post editor? If it is then you can try using %customfield(field_name)% variable and check if it fetches the value.

    No, the field is not available because it’s a taxonomy field. I thought you have maybe a simple solution because the description-field of taxonomies (which also is a taxonomy field) is fetched by default from RankMath.
