I am trying to include the product category in the meta title by default on all products. I have tried all the possible variables in Rank Math but it is not working.
At product level, if I use the %customterm(product_cat)% for example, the meta title is populated with the text ‘Custom term value’ rather than displaying the product category.
If I try to edit the meta title in the main Rank Math settings, the category does not display at all and is blank in the browser tab.
I have tried lots of different codes/cetegories/tags options etc for weeks and cannot resolve it. Please can you assist?

The schema variable
%customterm(product_cat)%works, but it only shows the placeholder text ‘Custom term value’ in the Rank Math metabox preview. You can check the page on the frontend of your website to see if the correct title is being implemented.If the product category is not showing on the frontend of the website, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
