Hello. Everything in that link what you have provided I have already done and it is correct. Can you please provide another alternative. Is rank math automatically putting in the meta tags for me? Is there any way I can turn it off so that I can manually do it myself ?

After you’ve updated the meta title/description, it takes some time for Google to crawl your website to update the changes on the SERPs.
If you’ve recently updated the meta description, then I suggest you give Google some time to re-crawl your website and see if the description is updated.
I suggest you clear your website’s cache. Doing this would prevent Google to see a cached version of the website when your website is crawled again.

Rank Math automatically generates the meta tags based on the details that you provide to the plugin.
If you wish to remove the meta title/description tags generated by Rank Math, then you can add this code to the theme’s function.php:
add_filter( 'rank_math/frontend/description','__return_false');
add_filter( 'rank_math/frontend/title','__return_false');
Please note that adding the above filters would remove the meta titles & descriptions from all the posts, pages, CPTs.

So i want to put in my own SEO description. i do not want rank math to do it for me. But when i search up on google i see seo description what is content on the pages but i want something different than that. I DO NOT WANT RANK MATh to put in their seo description. I WANT the seo meta description to show but i want to put in my own description. ANd i have my description edited already but they are not showing. In the previous link everything is the same on my end. Everyone is saying give google a few hours, but it has been 2 days since the information was updated and nothing changed. I hope you understand what i am trying to say

As mentioned in one of my previous replies, that Rank Math generates the meta tags using the meta details that you’ve entered in the plugin (following the process in the below screencast).

Rank Math or any SEO tool does not have control over what data is displayed on the search results, that privilege is only available to Google.
Usually, Google uses the meta title/description tags on the website in the search results, but do note that if everything’s fine and Google still decides to show a different meta title/description, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
Everyone is saying give google a few hours, but it has been 2 days since the information was updated and nothing changed.
We don’t say to wait for few “hours”, it can take up to few days or in some cases even weeks, for Google to re-crawl the website and update the changes. It is totally up to Google to decide when your website would be crawled.
