  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the indexing error in Google Search Console. The error "Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag" indicates that there is a noindex meta tag present on your page, which instructs Google not to include it in the search index.

Since you’ve already checked the Rank Math SEO settings and confirmed that they are set to index, here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check the Rank Math Metabox:

      • Open the post/page in the WordPress Editor.
      • For Gutenberg Editor, click the Rank Math SEO icon in the top-right corner.
      • For Classic Editor, scroll down to find the Rank Math Metabox.
      • Ensure that in the Advanced Tab, the Robots Meta is set to Index. If it is set to No Index, change it to Index and update the page.

      Rank Math Advanced Tab

    2. Check Titles & Meta Settings:

      • Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and review each section to ensure that no default settings are set to noindex for your posts/pages.
      • If you find any settings that are set to noindex and you want those pages indexed, change them to index and save your changes.

Set Noindex in Titles and Meta Settings

    3. Review Plugins and Themes:

      • Sometimes other plugins or themes may add a noindex tag. Review any active plugins or theme settings that might be affecting this.
    4. Clear Cache Again:

      • After making these changes, clear your site cache again and also check if you have any server-side caching that needs to be cleared.
    5. Re-crawl in Google Search Console:

      • Once you have made these adjustments, go back to Google Search Console and request a re-crawl of the affected pages.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Please find the below URL which is affected. This URL are SEO meta tags which are having issues.
Also I checked when I go on any of the below page. on Rankmath setting it shows ”Mark this Page” setting as ”No index” is always check. and once I uncheck and refresh the page it again check the no index option.

    Hello,

The URLs you shared are mostly

    • Tags archive pages e.g. https://autodudeindia.com/tag/bmw-x3-lwb/
    • Search result pages e.g https://autodudeindia.com/search/Tata Motor/page/4/

The tag archive pages are set to index already.

While the Search result pages are set to noindex

To resolve this, go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc. Pages and from there make sure the Noindex Paginated Single Pages option is disabled:

Still, on the same setting page navigate to Titles & Meta > Misc. Pages, in the Misc. Pages you will find the Noindex Paginated Single Pages option, please disable this as well.

Here are more details about these options:

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
