Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the permalink not importing correctly from your CSV file. It sounds like the slug (permalink) column in your CSV might not be recognized properly during the import process.
When editing metadata in a CSV file, ensure that you are using the correct column for the slug. The slug column should include the desired permalink for your posts. Once you upload the edited CSV file, WordPress should automatically create a redirection if the slug is changed. If it’s not working as expected, please check the following:
- CSV Format: Ensure that your CSV file is formatted correctly and that the slug column is labeled as
slug.
- Import Settings: When importing, make sure you are not overwriting existing data unless intended. You can select the option to not overwrite existing data if you want to keep current slugs intact.
- Rank Math Settings: Check if the automatic post redirection is enabled under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Redirections.
If everything seems correct and it still doesn’t work, we recommend replying to this ticket so a human agent from the Rank Math Support team can assist you further with this issue.
Thank you for raising this concern!
Hi I have named the column as “Meta: slug” but still its not working
Hello,
Please share that CSV file with us so we can check the issue further for you. You can upload the CSV file you are trying to import via this tool and share the URL here.
However, updating metadata using the CSV method is a Rank Math PRO feature but the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.
Please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
