Title/description not matching is pretty common with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google can choose to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword. Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

The best approach here is to further optimize the description to better match the user’s search intent and hopefully, Google would use it in the future.

Yes. I am aware of it, that google was not using the same meta description anymore. But, I was thinking that it should atleast show the cached data or the default crawled data(including my preset meta title along with the description) in the snippets rather than google generated meta in the case, when searching using the operator “site:gowthaminursery.in”.

Searching with the site operator does not show the cached version of the page, rather, it shows the actual indexed version.

We would suggest further optimizing the meta description and hopefully, Google would use it in the future.
