Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked your website and the meta description is already been added.
Please note that it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta title/description or no description at all for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
You can refer to this guide for more information:
https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/The best approach is to further optimize the meta description to better describe the page and match the user’s search intent and hopefully Google would use it in the future.
Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
Hmmm …. that is sh*t….
It has never taken Google so long to deliver a meta description. All the years it was within 2-4 weeks. Just not anymore…
How long does google think before a meta description is output? 1 year? 6 months? Google took over my title. Why does it take so long for a meta description to appear? I optimized some articles in April and their meta description is still not displayed. That can not be true!
What’s the mistake?
Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you check your website’s view source, you should see the meta description added by Rank Math. Please refer to my screenshot in the Sensitive Data section.
Google usually and mostly refers to this meta tag as stated in their documentation and if they think that the content of the meta description isn’t relevant to the search term, they will pull the description from your content instead as long as it is closely relevant to the topic.
You may try to change your meta description and even if Google has crawled the new changes to the meta description of your site, it is possible that Google still decides not to show a meta description for your search keyword, and there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta.
We have provided the generation of meta description so it’s up to Google if they acknowledge that.
Looking forward to helping you on this one.
