Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The three links that contain the image links and shortcodes on the SERP are returning 404 pages when I click on them. Have you deleted the pages?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
no i dont’t delete the 404 pages…is still the same problem!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Have you been able to resolve this? If not, would you mind sharing the links once again so that we can check this issue further?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
I can suggest that you submit an outdated content removal request for each of the affected links.
Please take a look at this page for more info on this: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
no, i have no outdated content on this page. because this page is very new…
how can i send you a screenshot?
Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to us.
I am sorry if I was not clear enough, these are the results that are affected by the shortcodes when I perform a search for site:your_domain.com on Google:
When I click on them to redirect to the page, I get a 404 as shown below:
This suggests that the pages do not exist and should be removed from the Google cache using the directions on the link above.
Please share a link to the images from Google Drive or https://snipboard.io/ so that we can advise further.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
The link that you have shared is the same one that is returning a 404 error. Could you please check that it still exists on your site?
The second link contains an outdated description, Rank Math is displaying the correct description as you can see below:
This will be resolved the next time Google crawls your site, the page was last crawled on 27th August from the cache info on the link.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
I think the problem is, beacause i changed the description in the settings from rank math. now the page will not be found anywhere with the old URL…
what can i do?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
You can fix this by heading over to Rank Math > Redirections > Add new and create a redirection from the old URL to the new one and then wait for Google to crawl the new page.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
OK thank you. but i’m not sure. is it not the right way to change the description on the pages? i’m surprised abot the problems now with google. should i better change to the old page name?
Hi there,
Thanks for the question.
It is not recommended to change post permalinks/canonical URLs for old posts that have already been crawled. This process should be done for new posts so as not to affect your SEO.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
