  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with the meta description not being updated in Google Search Results for your product.

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Meta Description: Ensure that the meta description is correctly set in your page’s source code. You can view the source code of your page to confirm this.

    2. Use Google Search Console: Log in to Google Search Console and use the URL Inspection Tool. Enter your product URL and check the report to see how Google views your page. This will also show you the Last Crawl date, which indicates when Google last indexed your page.
      Inspect URL on GSC
View Google's last crawl date on GSC

    3. Request Indexing: If the last crawl date is before you made changes to the meta description, you can click on the REQUEST INDEXING option in Google Search Console to prompt Google to re-crawl your page.

    4. Check Cache: You can also check if Google has cached the latest version of your page by entering cache: followed by your product URL in the search bar. This will show you the last cached version of your page and the date it was cached.
Enter cache followed by the full URL into the search bar
      Check date in cache

    5. Understand Google’s Discretion: Even after following these steps, it’s important to note that Google may still choose to display a different meta description based on what it considers more relevant to the search query. This is beyond our control, as Google sometimes overrides custom meta information.

If you have confirmed that everything is set correctly and Google still does not reflect your changes, it may take some time for Google to update its index.

Thank you for raising this concern, and if you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reply to this ticket!

Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site » Rank Math

    Hello,

We checked the page you’ve shared and we can see Rank Math is generating the correct meta title and description:

You can also check the meta description by using https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/ and https://www.heymeta.com/

However, please note that nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta description or no description for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

    Hello,

The description is already showing on the URL you shared

Please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    Looking forward to helping you.
