  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the meta description not showing in Google. There are a few reasons why this might happen:

    1. Google Hasn’t Indexed the Latest Version: If the latest version of your page hasn’t been indexed by Google, it won’t show the updated meta description. You can check this by using the URL Inspection Tool in Google Search Console. Enter your page’s URL and check the Last Crawl date. If it’s before your changes, you can request indexing to prompt Google to re-crawl your page.
      Inspect URL on GSC

    2. Relevance and Quality: If the meta description is not relevant, useful, or lacks quality (e.g., just a collection of keywords), Google may choose not to display it.

    3. Duplicate Meta Descriptions: If the same meta description is used across multiple pages, Google might ignore it.

    4. Search Intent: Sometimes, Google may find other content on your page that better matches the user’s search intent and display that instead of your provided meta description.

Unfortunately, there is little we can do to ensure that Google uses the meta description you’ve written, as this decision is ultimately up to Google.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

We also checked your Meta Titles using our Meta Analyzer and we can confirm that Rank Math added the tags correctly.

However, it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:

    https://rankmath.com/google-update/google-title-rewrite-update/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

    Thank you.
