meta data to custom site

    Hello!

    We are building a custom site and attempting to pull the Meta Description from Rank Math over to the new site. I can see the Meta Description and edit it in WordPress, but am having trouble figuring out how to send the data to our custom site.

    Here is what my developer has asked – My initial research on the rank math plugin has been unsuccessful. They have an export, but nothing that can be accessed via API. This leaves me two options, write a crawler that will login to wp and get the file, or two write a scraper to scrape the front end of the site. I am leaning toward option 1 because of speed and efficiency.

    Rank Math has a REST API endpoint to reveal all the meta tags. You can check this guide for how to use it: https://rankmath.com/kb/headless-cms-support/. If that does not work for you, building a scraper that can log in to the website and retrieve the specific data you want sounds like a good path to follow.
