Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
For initial troubleshooting please follow these steps.
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I did the manipulations but it didn’t change anything. Should we wait a few hours?
Rank Math always shows 4 sitemaps for articles. The last one still contains 200 URLs while I changed in the settings to “201” URLs.
Looks like he’s hit 200 URLs, so he doesn’t want to create a new sitemap anymore. Is there a limit of sitemaps for articles?
What are the next steps ?
Thanks for your help,
Cordially
Hello,
The sitemap should update immediately after flushing the cache. We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Your sitemap was heavily cached. We have excluded it from the cache by adding the following filter to your theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_true');
Now your sitemap is updating properly.

Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I allow myself to come back to you because despite the problem solved, it no longer works…
https://www.groupe-grim.com/jaguar-land-rover/sitemap_index.xml
We had to reinstall the plugin so it may be from there.
But yet we added the line of code in the file funtion.php
Can you help us ?
thanks in advance

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
For further troubleshooting, can you please try checking with your hosting provider if they have server-level caching services that might still be caching the sitemaps? You may refer to this guide if you are using Cloudflare: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare
We are looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hello,
We made the request. Our hosting provider informs us that they have checked and that there is no caching at the server level.
Thanks in advance,
Cordially
Hello,
We apologize for the delay in response.
I tried checking your website but it seems the Rank Math sitemap is no longer there. Can you please confirm?
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
We have not changed anything on our side but indeed during the wordpress update the Rank Math plugin was deleted.
This is the second time this has happened in 2 months.
I just put it back you can go back to the site.
Sincerely,
Hello,
I’ve checked your site and resolved the issue you were experiencing.
Here is the screenshots for your reference:

Your website had an issue with sitemap because you had incorrect code in your parent theme’s functions.php file.
Previous Filter: add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_true')
I’ve corrected the filter by replacing return_true to return_false.
Updated Filter: add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false')
Also, we always recommend using a child theme and edit the functions.php of your child theme instead of the parent theme. The reason is, you would lose the modified code and changes done when you update your theme.
Please follow the URL below to learn how you can add filters/hook in a efficient way:

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you.
Thank you very much, indeed it works.
