Manual Excerpt vs Rank Math Snippet

    Hello team,

    I am facing this strange issue here any couldn’t find any solution to this over the internet.

    My website works a bit differently. I use “manual excerpt” to add content and not blog post “body area”. SO the issue is adding manual excerpt is overwriting RankMath snippet settings. Like I have added this %Modified% tag with Snippets but it only works when I put content on blog post body section.

    Kindly let me know if there is any solution to this?

    I have thousands of posts published on the site and want all of them to get updated with %modified% tag.

    I am so sorry but that tag is not available in Rank Math. If you are familiar with coding, you can use this filter:

    Hi Todd,

    Thanks for your reply. But %Modified% tag is already available in Rank Math. Its working fine with blog post content but not working with Excerpt. Kindly find the screenshot “https://snipboard.io/eWVCTj.jpg”.

    If you can provide any guide for the developer to look at we tried using the codes from that page you shared in your last message but did not help it.

    MY PURPOSE:
    I added “Date Modified” tag for my snippets but adding content in the manual excerpt box is overwriting the Rank Math’s snippet.

    Please help me with this. Any guidance will be welcomed.

    Hi Alok,

    Thank you for the reply.

    Adding a post excerpt on the edit page takes higher priority than the global SEO settings on the Rank Math options.

    I can see that you have already added the necessary code on your theme to bypass the above the rule and it works. Please inspect the page source to see that this is working, the filter won’t work on the Rank Math preview when editing the post.
