    Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I recently switched from All in One SEO to Rank Math for my website’s SEO management. During the plugin setup, I used the built-in wizard to import my data from All in One SEO. However, after the migration, I noticed that my previously set keywords are no longer visible or active. I would like to recover or re-enable the keywords for my website.

Could you please guide me on how to restore or set up the keywords in Rank Math? Any help or steps to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your support!

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your keywords after switching from All in One SEO to Rank Math. Thank you for raising this concern.

When migrating from All in One SEO to Rank Math, it’s important to ensure that all settings, including keywords, are properly imported. Here are the steps you can follow to check and re-import your data:

    1. Open Rank Math Setup Wizard: If you haven’t already, you can start the Setup Wizard from your WordPress Dashboard by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Setup Wizard. This wizard should help you import data from All in One SEO again if needed.
      Open Rank Math Setup Wizard

    2. Deactivate All In One SEO Plugin: Ensure that the All in One SEO plugin is deactivated during this process to avoid conflicts.
Deactivate All In One SEO Pack in Rank Math Setup Wizard

    3. Import Data: After deactivating, proceed to import your data again. You can choose the settings you want to import, and we recommend selecting all data to ensure nothing is missed.
Import data from All In One SEO Pack plugin to Rank Math SEO plugin

    4. Check Your Keywords: Once the import is complete, check your posts and pages to see if the keywords have been restored. You can also manually add or edit keywords in the Rank Math meta box for each post or page.

If you still do not see your keywords after following these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

We hope this helps you recover your keywords!

Yes ,We disabled the All in One SEO and importd data,I think we use the right step as you provide.

And we imported the data again , and clean up the cache ,But there’s keywords are not there.
You could see https://cn.hostease.com/blog/ and view the details ,The keywords only in <!– All in One SEO –>
    <meta name=”keywords” content=”hostease,hostease博客,云计算,主机行业,服务器行业,网络安全,网站域名,主机服务器”>

For now , we enabled the all in one seo again , The keywords is back again.

    Could you kindly check ?

Hello ,Is there any update ?

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    Hello ,
We updated the credit ,Please kindly check .

    Hello,

If you’re checking your page’s source code for the meta keywords, then you won’t find any since Rank Math does not include the meta keywords tag in the source code.

Google has stopped supporting the keywords meta tag because websites were exploiting it to manipulate search engines and create more organic traffic. This means that Google does not consider the keywords meta tag a web page ranking signal, and using it will not affect your search engine rankings.

However, you can still achieve that using Rank Math by following the steps in this link:

    Hope that helps.

    Hi
Thanks for the update ,I checked current themes:GeneratePress
    but we can’t find rank-math.php .

    Hello,

You are to create the rank-math.php file in your theme’s folder.

Please refer to this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/#rank-math-php-file

Let us know how this goes. Also, let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
I added the rank-math.php and add the code and pure the cache:
    add_filter( ‘rank_math/frontend/show_keywords’, ‘__return_true’);

but there’s no keywords on the source code page. Could you kindly check ?

    Hello,

The issue is that none of your posts have a set keyword, i.e. you did not import the focus keywords over to Rank Math from All In One SEO – either that or the import was not successful.

When we tested this page by adding the test keyword “Linux”, it was showing on your page source.

To rectify this, please navigate to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export and import the data from All In One SEO again.

We hope this helps you resolve the issue. Don’t hesitate to contact us again with any other questions or concerns regarding Rank Math. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math!

    Hi ,

We have re-imported the data, but the keywords still do not appear on the blog homepage. However, we have already set up the keywords for the blog homepage using the “All in One SEO” plugin.

Could you please enable the “All in One SEO” plugin and check if the keywords are correctly configured? Additionally, could you confirm whether the imported data does not include the keywords? If that’s the case, we kindly request your assistance in ensuring the smooth transfer of keywords from “All in One SEO” to the blog homepage.

    Looking forward to your confirmation.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

When you are using the homepage as the archive for your blog posts you cannot add focus keywords to that page using our plugin as the homepage allows for very minimal optimization because the content is just a compilation of other posts on the website.

The only optimizations you can do to the homepage with this particular setup are done through WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Homepage.

It’s also important to note that the keywords meta tag is no longer used by Google and it hasn’t been used by that search engine since 2009.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
