Hi
Write “site:yourdomain.com” in google.
If you see rich snippets how they should look, that means google can read them correct but chooses to not show them when users search for your keywords.
If you dont see rich snippets with site:domain.com…that means there is a technical error you have to fix OR google didnt crawl the urls yet.(you can ask google to recrawl – https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en)
I am talking about the featured snippets. (0 position results) 🙂
Ah ok, 🙂
Featured has nothing to do with rankmath, except if you use Howto or FAQ shemas.
And it is not possible to predict for future featured placement in google.
Hi Pravesh,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
It is highly unlikely that Rank Math caused this issue unless you messed up all the settings and made everything noindex.
I highly recommend going through the following guide to set up the plugin completely and correctly:
https://youtu.be/dTvZuMRzW4w
and
https://www.wpmediamastery.com/rank-math-seo/?&utm_campaign=Rank+Math
It is highly plausible that the recent Google update caused this.
You must take a good look at the affected pages and make sure they are suitable for the keywords you are targeting.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi, I checked some sites using rank math (with ahrefs organic keywords tool). All the search results that were fetched for featured snippets of those sites before May 6 were removed after the update. I think there is an unknown bug with the plugin. This may not be true as I think I am the only one who reported this. If any other person is reporting this issue, please look at this issue urgently. If you want to confirm if the sites I checked have also lost the featured snippets, I am adding those sites in the sensitive data.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Even me i am facing the same problem. as Mr. Pravesh told that search results that were fetched for featured snippets of my site before May 6 were removed after the update. I was thinking this happened to only me. And also one thing i want to remind is .. what ever websites i used to see in good position like in first page of search results using rank math has dropped down. Now i dont see any websites ranking using rankmath plugin in first 10 search results, instead i see all in one seo and yoast when i view source. you can check on your niche too. try. I was about to put this query but i thought i was only one who faced this.
Now, I got to know that there are many websites affected by this. We should wait for Rank Math’s update to fix this issue.
Best,
Pravesh Khanal
Hello,
If the SDTT doesn’t show any errors, there is nothing wrong with the plugin:
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool
Please note that there was a Google Core update earlier this month that has affected millions of websites – not just you.
You can read more about that here: https://www.semrush.com/blog/google-may-2020-core-update/
If there is an issue with Rank Math, it would be visible in the source which can be accessed/checked by 10s of independent tools out there.
If you find any issue in any 3rd party testing tool, we would love to know and help you sort it.
Without any issue, we cannot know what happened. the Most likely explanation is that you got hit by the Google update, like others.
