Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your location and archive pages not being indexed by Google. Thank you for providing the details about your site and the specific pages in question.
Here are a few pointers to help you troubleshoot this issue:
-
Check Sitemap Settings: Ensure that your Rank Math settings are configured to include all relevant post types in your sitemap. Sometimes, custom post types created by plugins like GeoDirectory may not be included by default. You can check this in the Rank Math settings under Sitemap Settings.
-
Submit a Custom Sitemap: If your location and archive pages are not included in the automatically generated sitemap, consider creating a custom sitemap that includes these pages. You can manually add them to your sitemap or use a plugin that allows for custom sitemap generation.
-
Canonical URLs: Make sure that there are no canonical URL issues on these pages. If there are duplicate content issues, Google may choose not to index them. You can set canonical URLs using Rank Math to point to the original content you want indexed. Here’s a guide on how to change the canonical URL.

-
Check Google Search Console: Look for any messages or warnings in Google Search Console regarding these pages. The Coverage report can provide insights into why certain pages are not indexed.

-
Submit URLs for Indexing: If everything seems correct but the pages are still not indexed, you can manually request indexing through Google Search Console by using the URL Inspection Tool.
-
Patience for New Sites: Since your site is relatively new, it may take some time for Google to crawl and index all pages. However, ensuring that your sitemap is complete and correctly submitted will help speed up this process.
If you continue to experience issues, we recommend replying to this ticket with more details or any specific error messages you see in Google Search Console, and a human agent from our team will assist you further.
We hope this helps you get your pages indexed!

Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
No, you don’t need a custom sitemap to generate the required sitemaps. If you’re referring to the category pages for your archives, you can simply make sure the sitemap is enabled in Rank Math → Sitemap Settings. The same goes for your Location pages.
Just make sure that these pages are set to index in their robots meta tag. The archive pages also has to be non-empty (posts are assigned to it) so Rank Math will add the index
in the robots meta tag.
Let us know how that goes. If the issue persists, we’ll check your website settings and advice further.
Looking forward to helping you.
