Local SEO module

    Rank Math free

I am not seeing all Local SEO Module options in the settings nor do I see the Local SEO Schema.
The following steps were taken which may have messed this up:
Installed the free RankMath plugin; used its basic functions. Upgraed to the Pro version. Enabled multiple locations. Set up one location. Deleted location. Disabled multiple locations.

    Please advise.
    Thank you

p.s.: How will property group vs property affect the schema structure? Is this for readability or does the Hierarchie affect the function?Since the new RankMath update to Version 1.0.74 I am unable to edit my schema templates. Clicking ‘edit’ will load an empty page.

    Hello,

Sorry to disappoint you but as we’re a globally distributed team, calls/chats are beyond the scope of our support.

With that being said, I did login using the login link that you’ve provided but the login has very limited access. I was unable to access even the dashboard of Rank Math.

    Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/md0z0F

Please elevate the access rights to “admin-level” so that we can investigate further.

    Thank you.

Sorry, that was my fault. You are an admin now.

Let me know if this works for the whole network. If not I’ll have to figure out a way to add you as a regular admin. Not sure if that will work with your mail address.

BTW. I am getting the same error you are getting

    Hello,

I tried but was unable to access the plugins list or Rank Math. The same error is displayed.

Also, the sub-sites are not displayed.

Sure, please try creating a regular admin, and hopefully, that would allow us to access the pages.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

please confirm that this is working for you

    Anyone?

    Hello,

Thank you for your patience as we troubleshoot your local business schema.

I was able to log in to the website. However, Rank Math was not installed. Please confirm if you would like us to continue troubleshooting? We would need to install Rank Math at network level to continue.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I was not able to install the pro version when attempting to install at network level.

Please go ahead, install and validate the field presence.

Could you give me an update on your progress and steps taken please.

    Hello,

Thank you so much for your patience.

I have installed Rank Math in network level. Please proceed with activating and setting up the plugin so we can proceed with resolving the main issue.

    activate

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Activated on VBM Base.
Afterwards, all settings and module that were previously active auto-restored.
    Including all errors.

Will running the Setup Wizard override these or will you have to delete the previously enter data out of the database?

I ran the wizard again. Still no Local business schema in templates or the before mentioned settings. Will attempt to create custom schema now.

I ran the wizard again. Still no Local business schema in templates or the before mentioned field settings.

    Schemas are saving.

How can I access and customize the embedded ‘local business’ schema info if there is no template? Is there a way to change language from EN_US to en, etc.?

Is anyone working in the support department? What are your business hours?
    This is crazy.

    Hello,

First, we recommend installing the plugin at the network level but only activate at the site level to prevent any issues with some functionality such as the Analytics.

Secondly, we tried to enable the module Local SEO but we got a CORS error on your website when trying to enable any module and that prevents the request from completing.
    CORS error

We recommend that you check your server and network settings to make sure this request can be completed, otherwise without activating this module the Local SEO module won’t work properly.

Let us know when CORS is disabled or working as intended on your server so we can continue debugging the situation.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Could you give me an update on your progress and steps taken please.

    Dear Miguel,

thank you for getting back to me.
Regarding the install. The module was installed via one of your colleagues at the network level. It was then activated according to the instructions given on the Base site and afterwards on the subdomains. This caused all fields to be re-populated with the data that existed at before it’s previous deletion.

The Local SEO module is currently activated. When you are referring to the CORS error, is this an issue that is current or was that triggered when trying to install the plugin on a subdomain level? Would the module have to be enabled on the Base site?

Where can I see if the error still exists?

Is it possible that the Local Business options as mentioned here is no longer part of the installation? https://rankmath.com/kb/local-seo/ #12 onward. (I am missing those settings options)

additionally, may this also be true for the template (as mentioned here: https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/ under #28)

If the pro-part of the module was not able to be enabled, would this answer my previous question: How can I access and customize the embedded ‘local business’ schema info if there is no template? Is there a way to change language from EN_US to en, etc.?

Thank you for your support in this matter.

There seem to be quite a few database errors in the rankmath log.
I am having the host check for the CORS error you mentioned.

No one from your staff has gotten back to me in 14hrs or has anyone logged into the site.

Can you please let me know what is happening/your hours of operation.

    Thank you

    Hello,

I tried enabling the Local SEO module on your site but I am still getting a CORS error:

Please check with your host to fix the issue.

    Thanks.

This is so strange. I did activate the module and found that the missing features (schemes) are only displayed if the ‘multiple locations’ business feature is selected.

The local seo and schema options show as activated ‘pro’ under en.vbmedia.tv and de.vbmedia.tv

Where can I see the error that you have posted?

    Hello,

The screenshot my colleague posted is from the JS Console of a browser.

You can inspect any element on your website and see that:
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/

You have installed WordFence security on your website which is likely blocking the below URL from being accessed:
    wp-json/rankmath/v1/saveModule

Please whitelist it along with the other required URLs you see on this KB:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1//getFeaturedImageId

After you whitelist all 5 URLs, the Local SEO Module should get enabled from the Dashboard.

We tried doing this but found that the WordFence plugin is disabled. That means you either have a .htaccess file causing this block or your Web Host has another layer of Firewall where they can whitelist the above URLs.

If they are not able to do it, please share your FTP logins in the sensitive data section as well so we can ask our dev. team to take a closer look.

We really look forward to hearing back from you so we can get this sorted ASAP.

    Hello Support Team,

Thank you for your email. Due to the extreme delay in response time, I believe that the suggested fixes may be outdated already.
I am unable to see any errors in the console at this point. (On the frontend that is)

Wordfence is installed but not active on the site.

According to WP Activity Log, none of the support staff has accessed the site recently.

When it comes to the Local SEO; I believe that there is a programing issue within the plugin.
As mentioned before, I am only able to see the ‚Opening Hours‘-Pro options etc. (as mentioned here https://rankmath.com/kb/local-seo/
#12 onwards) when ‘multiple Locations’ are enabled.
Once multiple locations are enabled, I am able to see the ‚Local Business‘-Schema in that location’s section.
I can not see it under the RM->Schema Templates section. Once multiple business locations are enabled, I can save it to the templates from the ‚RM locations‘ section.

How can I access and customize the embedded ‘local business’ schema info if there is no template when only having one location enabled? Is there a way to change language from EN_US to en, hour formats etc.?

    Schema Templates:
    According to https://rankmath.com/pricing/
I am missing the following Schemas in the Schema Templates New Template section:
    – Speakable Schema
    – Fact Check Schema
    – Mentions & About Schema (unless these are not editable/part of the settings and auto-generated)
    – Q&A Schema as mention here https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/
    at #28

The htaccess file has been changed.

Is it possible to have one support team member work on this and reply within minutes, so we can figure this out (possibly with the host as well)

Since I do not know which features are supposed to still be included in the current release, I am unable to determine if the plugin is in act working or not.

You may call be at your convenience as well.

    Thank you

O received the following email from my host. Please advise or issue a reply. Thank you:

Since the case notes do not provide us with the accurate details to troubleshoot the issue. Inorder to further check, please reply to this email with the additional information that would assist us in troubleshooting the issue. Such information could include: Please provid exact url you are recieving cors error one activating a plugin on back end, How you are trying to enable the json module ?. We will need to replicate the error on our end to try to find the source of the problem.

I have checked further on this issue and I could see that the site is a multisite. As the site is a multisite it is out of our scope of support. I will be glad to investigate further on the issue you are experiencing and see if I can find out the root cause and fix it. However, I cannot assure you that this issue will be fixed on my end as this is something which is out of our scope of support.

If any particular actions we need to be take to encounter your issue, then please walk us through specific replication steps, so that we are able to directly encounter the same issue or error that you are seeing here. Once we’re able to reproduce the issue or error, we can narrow down the cause and work towards fixing it. Please be sure to include any relevant website URLs, email addresses, or login details that are needed to replicate and investigate the issue.

    Hello,

Could you please clarify if you were able to correctly activate the Local SEO module from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard?

If that’s the case then it’s likely that the CORS issue is now fixed.

Regarding the other questions about the module, when you enable the multiple locations options most of the options become available inside the CPT for the multiple locations and are removed from the default location.

That is made like this because then you can apply the different opening hours to each of your locations. That can be done with the LocalBusiness Schema that is available by default in the Schema Generator of each of the locations.

To customize the LocalBusiness Schema that comes bundled when you don’t have the multiple locations enabled you need to either add the information in the Local SEO module or if the information is not available there you’ll need to use and edit the following filter per your requirements: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#extend-json-ld-data

Regarding the questions about the Schema Templates, the About and Mentions and the Speakable Schema don’t have a template because they are part of other Schema types and are not to be used separately from the Article Schema.

Here are some articles that explain how you can apply those to your Article Schema:

    – About and Mentions: https://rankmath.com/kb/about-and-mentions-schema/
    – Speakable: https://rankmath.com/kb/article-schema/#num-6-enable-speakable-option-pro

The FactCheck Schema is already available in the templates and we also have a tutorial on how to use that here: https://rankmath.com/kb/factcheck-schema/

Lastly, the Q&A type is applied automatically and according to the guidelines when you have a supported forum such as bbPress installed on your website as is mentioned here: https://rankmath.com/kb/qapage-schema/

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
