Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked your source code and seems like the Local Business Schema has been applied to your site. As you are using Organization Schema that’s why you are not being able to see this on Rich Result Test as the Organization Schema is not available in the Rich Results Test.
However, if you just want to use the Local Business Schema on your Homepage, about and contact page then please use the following filter:
add_filter( 'rank_math/json_ld', function( $data, $jsonld ) {
$url = $_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"] . $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];
if ( (is_front_page() || ! isset($data['publisher'])) || strpos($url, '/contact-us') || strpos($url, '/about') ) {
return $data;
}
unset( $data['publisher'] );
unset( $data['place'] );
return $data;
}, 99, 2);
Here is how to add a filter to your site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
Hope that helps. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Thanks for the reply. So if I use person schema, could I verify that in the rich results test?
And which pages are the local schema added to? Entire site?
What is exactly the difference when sometimes I’m able to see local business in rich results?
And for me to check the local business schema in the source code, I have to look for organization?
Hello,
If you want to see the person schema please go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Local SEO and select “person” from “Person or Company”.
My colleague suggested you above a filter which helps you to use the Local Business Schema on your Homepage, about, and contact page.
When you use the person schema, the organization is not detected.
If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you
Hello,
Im not looking for person schema, I started this ticket to add local business schema to my website.
Your colleague mentioned organization schema has been added (is it the same as local business)?
and is it applied to the entire site? (it doesn’t have to be just on the home page)
Hello,
LocalBusiness is a subtype of organization schema. You should only use this type when your business has multiple branches (locations). Please review the tutorial video to understand the use of the Rank Math multiple location function better. LocalBusiness schema is only added to each location/branch page you create.
The main organization schema is automatically added to your homepage. To add the main organization schema to your about and contact page, You can go to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Local SEO and at the bottom of the page, select your about and contact us page URLs and click “Save Changes”. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
