Hello, i’ve been using Rankmath since it was first launched. However, I still don’t know how to list/index my menus on my website in a mega and very professional manner. Here are links to 2 screenshots of what our menu looks like https://ibb.co/7vhWTrJ, and what I would like it to look like https://ibb.co/NNrB6XF. How can this be achieved? Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

I assume you are referring to the sitelinks. Rank Math automatically generates sitelink structure on your homepage so you don’t need to do any changes in your settings.

It’s up to Google to display it on the search page. Basically, you just have to have enough authority and backlinks for Google to deem your website worthy of those sitelinks.

If you wish to further check for more details about this, here’s a good article explaining it:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you so much for the response. I now understand how that works. However, you said Rank Math automatically generates sitelink structure on my homepage page, how can I edit that because the sitelink structure I want isn’t what’s displaying on the google search. Thanks

    Hello,

Google Sitelinks aren’t something that you can enable, activate, or opt-in for. It is up to Google to enable them for a website which they think is authoritative for a given query.

According to google “We only show sitelinks for results when we think they’ll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn’t allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don’t think that the sitelinks for your site are relevant for the user’s query, we won’t show them.

ok I understand it’s mainly up fo google. I’m just saying is there not a way to influence the pages that are displayed in the sitelinks. Like instead of my account page, I’ll like to show case studies pages. Or is it associated with the website’s menu? That’s really what I want to know.

    Hello,

You can’t directly control the occurrence of sitelinks. Only Google decides whether to display them or not so you need to further optimize your content to show the desired sitelinks. The best practice is to have a clear website hierarchy in a top menu website with descriptive anchor text.
