Hi Michael
I have changed your test post from being in the trash to being published as private. I then made the link to open in a new window and it changed the link to no follow.
This issue is happening when I make any external link open in a new window.

This issue does not seem to be reproduced on all environments.
Could you please check if Nofollow External Links Option is not enabled in Rank Math >> General Settings >> Links. Disabling this option seems to fix the issue.
