  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    1. Could you please attempt to rebuild the index by heading over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and click on the button “Rebuild Index”?

See if this updates the link count. You may also clear your website cache and check if that works too.

    2. You can manage orphan posts under your post list by filtering them but this is only available in the PRO version. https://rankmath.com/kb/bulk-editing-in-rank-math/#num-4-14-orphan-posts-pro

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

I didn’t see the option: Rebuild Index, I saw delete internal links.

In terms of external links: Does it count the nonfollow external links as I didn’t see the counts.

Where can I see broken links and backlinks?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

The Rebuild index button is included in the list of the Database Tools
    Rebuiled index

However, to fix the issue in the Link Counter, you may need to click the Delete Internal Links button you have found.

The link counter for external links will read the links in your content, whether they are set to follow or no-follow.

Unfortunately, we provide tools only for On-Page SEO, and we do not have any information regarding sites that provide backlinks and broken links. However, you may consider getting in touch with an SEO professional for backlinks/broken links and related site audit tools.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Hi

I didn’t see the rebuild index and my nofollow external links are not counted correctly.

I have already clicked on delete internal links.

    Hello,

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
