Linkedin adding page title when sharing

I did all the titles and meta for my page and it is working fine on facebook etc. I removed the page name to show and only the site name to be available when sharing. However, when I share on linkedin the post has the image I set, but it shows the page Title (Home) and then the URL below it.

Post inspector – (guglielmo.adv.br) will show this.

However, this is not what I have done inside rank math and editing my homepage in wordpress.

    Can anyone help me?

I purged all cache in light speed and cloudflare and at least this helped with showing the image, but the description and title is not how I set it up.

    thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

If you check the inspector closely, you will notice that LinkedIn instructions prefer the oEmbed tag on your page
    oEmbed Title

Upon inspecting, your site has an oEmbed link with a Home title tag
    oEmbed tag

And that’s what’s causing this issue. If you disable that, the og:title will be picked.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Thank you very much for this. So I can make this change, is it possible to do it inside rank math or do I have to look in WordPress theme customisation to see if something is turned on to show page title? Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up, and apologies for the delay.

Rank Math only adds the Open Graph tags and does not add the oEmbed link on your site.

However, you can use our handy guide to determine the plugin or theme that is adding the oEmbed link:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Once you have found the culprit, you can get in touch with the plugin/theme developer and ask if you can disable that on your site.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
