Link Search Console with Google Analytics

On Search Console, I noticed that the site by url prefix was not associated with Google Analytics, but only the domain.

Could this be the reason why Google refused to rank my urls?

When adding the association between Search Console and Google Analitycs for the site by url prefix, it asked me if I wanted to replace the previous Google Analytics. Weird question, since I only have one Google Analytics profile. I confirmed, but it seems that Search Console sees the old Google Analytics properties or something.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with linking your Search Console and Google Analytics. It sounds like there may be some confusion regarding the properties associated with your Google Analytics account.

When using Rank Math, it’s important to connect the correct URL-prefix property in Search Console to ensure that all data is accurately reflected in your analytics. If you are seeing a prompt about replacing the previous Google Analytics, it could be due to how the properties are set up in your Google account.

To resolve this, we recommend ensuring that you have connected the URL-prefix property correctly. You can do this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and making sure that the correct property is selected. If you haven’t already, you can refer to our guide on connecting your Google Account with Rank Math for detailed steps.

Additionally, if the URL-prefix property is not linked properly, it might affect how your URLs are ranked, as Google uses this data for indexing and performance analysis.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

The association of your GA and GSC accounts doesn’t have anything to do with your site’s rankings. We don’t have access to your GA account to confirm if the property is connected to the correct account. You should make sure that your GA and GSC accounts are under the same email address, and if you have only one GA account, then the property should be connected to that.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
