Limit Index Now URL submissions

    Hi.

This is not a support ticket; just a features request.

When I check Bing Webmaster tools (Index Now page), I can see that the RankMath SEO plugin instant indexing submit WordPress admin area URL’s and specific fonts, JS and CSS files. These URLS’s should not index by search engines, and my robot’s text file blocked those directories indexing.

For instance, I can see Bing Webmaster tools instant indexing requests for wp-login.php, theme fonts files (woff), /wp-json/, and wp-admin/index.php. Moreover, I can see several PHP files are submitted.

Is it a Rank Math bug?

    I have one more suggestion.

Sometimes we continuously edit the same blog post (less than 20 minutes). When publishing the article, automatically, its URL is submitted through the Index. It is better if we give us an option to disable the Index (prevent penalizing submitting the same URL more frequently).

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support.

    1. We do not submit those URLs to IndexNow. The URLs automatically submitted are only the ones of the selected post type under Rank Math > Instant Indexing > IndexNow API settings > Submit Posts IndexNow.

The URLs might have been accidentally manually submitted.

    2. Though there is no issue in submitting the posts whenever they’re published/updated, if you do not want the URLs to get automatically submitted, you can disable/uncheck the post types under the above-mentioned location.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.
