Lazy Loading Featured Image

#956425
  • I want to use lazy load but not for images that appear above the fold and featured images in all blog posts as it’s increasing my overall page speed time. Can you let me know how to do this in Rankmath maybe by adding something in this field – ‘Lazy Load Image Class Name Excludes’

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing. To exclude specific images from lazy loading in Rank Math, you can indeed use the ‘Lazy Load Image Class Name Excludes’ field. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math Settings: Go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Rank Math.
    2. General Settings: Click on the General Settings tab.
    3. Lazy Loading: Look for the Lazy Loading section.
    4. Exclude Classes: In the Lazy Load Image Class Name Excludes field, you can add the class names of the images you want to exclude from lazy loading. For example, if your featured images have a class like featured-image, you would enter that class name here.
    5. Save Changes: Don’t forget to save your changes after adding the class names.

This will ensure that images with the specified class names will not be lazy-loaded, which should help improve your page speed for those images.
