Keywords sudden drop in search!

Sorry for the experience you had while using the plugin.

It sounds to me you got hit by an algorithm update and I am sorry that Rank Math would not cause a drop in rankings.

Here’s a detailed reply to if you do not know much SEO, have any misconceptions about the SEO, or just don’t understand what an SEO plugin can and can’t do:

Check the following pointers so you would understand the technical SEO better:
1. An SEO plugin alone cannot bring down or bring up the traffic in a day unless incorrect Meta Tags are used by setting up the plugin improperly. That’s why we have a detailed tutorial on that:

2. All the SEO plugins add Meta tags for the search engines which can be checked by viewing the source of a page. For instance, here:

Other popular plugins generate similar tags:

But, with the Rank Math plugin, one gets additional tags added to a page so search engines can understand the content on a website better.

3. Google brings a new algorithmic update several times a month and the chances are great that your website got hit with that.

It can happen because you need to complete the suggested tasks for each keyword.

As you can see in the following screencast (https://i.rankmath.com/jzjC8u) when you add another keyword, you can click on it to switch between their suggested tasks.

Please note that the Rank Math tests are only for reference when editing your posts and the calculated score does not in any way affect your SEO.
These are benchmarks calculated by the plugin to let you know areas that you need to improve on to rank for a particular keyword.

Back to the issue, are the two keywords related? What happens when you delete the main focus keyword and only keep the two new keywords? Does the score go back up?
