Please check your WP_CONFIG for this line: define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ). If it’s set to true, change it to false. You should also ensure you don’t have an existing robots.txt file in your root folder to allow Rank math to automatically generate the robots.txt virtually. Let us know how this goes.

G’day Michael, define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true ) was true so I set it to false but it did not move RM from the side bar, any other suggestions?

It seems to be a conflict with one of the plugins you are using. I used the troubleshooting mode to enable only your Hello theme with Rank math and Elementor plugins only and as you can see in the screencast I have attached in the sensitive section, it updates just fine.
Please follow this troubleshooting guide to determine the conflicting plugin: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/ and let us know if you find the culprit.
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

I received an email from Bhanu Ahluwalia to clean up my redirects. After that I have no problem with page loading or updating. Only have problems with RM only being on the side bare on the first edit screen and not the bottom. I disabled all my plugins and ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true was set to false and the problem still persist. Any more suggestions for this?
