Please note that, Rank Math looks for both the primary focus keyword and secondary focus keywords to determine your keyword density and that might be why you are seeing a higher number there.
So, please check if the primary, as well as secondary focus keywords combined, are appearing the number of times displayed in the Keyword Density test.

I had the same problem but actually, the keyword density also counts keywords from the permalink, and if you have FAQs I assume you used some keywords there and forgot to count.

@Hector Yes, if you have used the keyword in your FAQ or any blocks on your posts, those will be counted as well.
However, we’re unable to replicate the keyword density by counting the keywords used in the permalink section.
Please note that the test counts all the data you have entered only on your post’s content.
