Hello,
Upon visiting with the query parameter (yourwebsite.com/?sitemap=1), the sitemap is loading fine, although it goes back to the previous state when clicking on any of the sitemap links inside it.
Upon looking into the headers parameter, I have found the caching is enabled on your server.
See the screenshot for your reference:

Please get in touch with your hosting provider and forward the screenshot.
Hope this helps track down the issue. Thank you.
I’ve been back to my host who has run a fresh malware check which didn’t come up with anything. We have also reinstalled the core WordPress files to ensure these aren’t infected.
I also changed the sitemap index number and saved the permalinks page to regenerate the sitemap but no good.
Oh, thank you. I’ll do that.
Cache should be completely removed now…
I’ve just been into Google Search Console and inspected the URL. I’ve attached a screenshot so this seems to still be somewhere although no malicious files were found in our scan earlier.

Hello,
It’s very hard to tell what exactly went wrong while scanning your website, But I would suggest you to go though the process again. I know its very lengthy process to go through but at end you may need to fix your website or else SEO will be impacted by it.
> Take current back of your files
> Fresh install the WordPress Setup
> add your existing wp-config.php database detail inside your new wp-config file
> Now I would suggest you to only install the plugin you have wanted to use. And of course download them with the official sources. and of Course add the security plugins too.
> Check again for the sitemaps.
Hope that helps. Thank you and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
