    Rank Math free

    Hi Rank Math Support,

I recently set up Rank Math on my WordPress website, but I’m facing a few issues. On my homepage and several inner pages, the SEO meta titles and descriptions are not showing as expected in Google’s Rich Results. I’ve double-checked the settings and re-saved the permalinks, but the problem persists.

Additionally, I noticed that my XML sitemap is not updating automatically when I publish new posts. I’ve tried clearing the cache and regenerating the sitemap, but it doesn’t seem to reflect the latest content.

For reference, the website I am testing is: https://arcq.ai/ .Could you please guide me on what might be causing these issues and how to ensure Rank Math correctly updates the meta tags and sitemap?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with the SEO meta tags and sitemap on your WordPress site. Thank you for providing your website URL; this will help in addressing your concerns more effectively.

    SEO Meta Tags Issues

For the SEO meta titles and descriptions not showing as expected in Google’s Rich Results, please ensure the following:

    1. Check Index Settings: Make sure that your posts are set to index. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensuring that the Index checkbox is enabled for your posts.
      Index Titles and Meta settings
    2. Validate Your Meta Tags: Use the Rich Results Test tool to check if your meta tags are correctly implemented.
    3. Clear Cache: Since you mentioned clearing the cache, ensure that any caching plugins or server-side caching are fully cleared after making changes.

    Sitemap Not Updating Automatically

For the sitemap not updating automatically:

    1. Flush Permalinks: You mentioned you have already done this, but it’s worth repeating. Go to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress admin area and click Save Changes without making any changes.
      Flush permalink settings
    2. Check Sitemap Settings: Ensure that all post types you want included in the sitemap are enabled. Go to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and verify that the relevant post types are checked.
    3. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with Rank Math’s functionality. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any conflicts.
    4. Manual Sitemap Regeneration: If the sitemap still does not update, you can manually regenerate it by going to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and clicking on the regenerate button.

If these steps do not resolve your issues, we recommend considering our professional setup service for a comprehensive review of your settings, especially since you want to ensure everything adheres to the latest SEO standards. This service requires a PRO subscription.
