Issues with page titles

    Hello Again,

I’m sorry for posting so many tickets today, but today is the day when I am thoroughly beginning my SEO optimisation, and because I haven’t done it before, I do have lots of questions…

I’m optimising my pages at the moment, such as my about page, contact page, etc…

I’m getting some following errors that I want help with, so that I can get my SEO score closer to 100. I’m getting messages such as “the title doesn’t contain a power word” and “Your titled doesn’t have a negative or positive sentiment word.” As you can appreciate, pages such as a contact page or about page wouldn’t typically have positive or negative words, or power words in the title, so I feel that my SEO is being penalised…. Can you fix this?

I’m also getting error messages because my content is less than 600 words long. As you can imagine again, a contact page, and some other pages won’t have 600 words or more, that is more for blog posts. Please can you fix this also?

Because of the above reasons, the SEO scores for my regular pages are hovering at approximately 85, but I want them to be higher of course..

    Please assist if you can.

    Kind Regards,
    Christoper Tutton

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can ignore the tests on these pages as they don’t really apply. The tests are only for your reference and are just guidelines to help you optimize your page.

The scores show how well your page is optimized in relation to the added focus keyword, if any, and won’t affect your page(s) ranking.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for explaining that.

I do have a couple more questions:

    1. I setup in rankmath a redirect to my custom made 404 page, however when I try to enter some page that doesn’t exist, instead of showing my 404 page, I get a different error: “too many redirects.” Is there something I can change in my rankmath settings to fix it?

    2. I understand I don’t need to optimise EVERYTHING, but what is considered a good score? All of my pages are minimum 85 at the moment…

    Kind Regards,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,

Thank you for the follow up.

    1. Please ensure your custom 404 page is opening and not redirecting. You can also use this tool here: http://redirectcheck.com/index.php trace your redirection path or share the the redirecting URL so we can test this from our end.

    2. In terms of your score, here is a guide to helps you score higher on this: https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the info.

The URL of my 404 page is: https://boots-n-bourbon.com/404-error/?v=79cba1185463

I can access the 404 page when typing the URL directly into my browser, but when I try and simulate a 404 condition, I get the following error message from Google:

    This page isn’t working.
boots-n-bourbon.com redirected you too many times.
    Try clearing your cookies.
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Please can you use the temporary login details I provided in the sensitive section to help me with fixing this problem.

Also, for some reason, all of my URLs have the following suffix added:?v=79cba1185463

Please can you also help me with this problem.

    Kind Regards,
    Chris Tutton

    Hello,

The redirection was stuck in a loop because you had set the fall back behaviour to this custom URL: https://boots-n-bourbon.com/404-page/ which doesn’t exist and therefore attempts to redirect again through the fallback behaviour to the same URL. I changed the setting to your custom 404 URL https://boots-n-bourbon.com/404-error/ and now it should be all fine

On the issue with the suffix, it usually happens with WooCommerce sites when default customer location is set to Geolocate with caching support. You can change this to No location by default to test this. Here is an article that explains this more clearly.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
