    Dear Rank Math Support Team,

We are experiencing several issues with using placeholders/variables in RankMath, specifically when trying to pull data for certain fields. Below are the detailed descriptions of the problems:

    1. Territory Variable Not Pulling Data We are attempting to use “territory” as a variable in our RankMath setup. However, we couldn’t find the option to do so.

    2. News Category Variable Data Not Pulling Similarly, we have defined a variable for the “News” category. Unfortunately, the data is not being retrieved for this category either.

    3. Department Variable for Team Members Not Pulling Data In our setup, we want to use “department” as a variable for team members to display relevant metadata on our site. Unfortunately, the data for this variable is not being pulled, and the expected content is not being displayed.

    4. Custom Term Data, it appears that the data linked to this custom term is not being pulled, and the fields remain empty.

Also, we have already raised this issue. However, due to a delay, the previously raised ticket was closed. You can check the previous chat from here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/issue-with-variables-not-pulling-required-data-in-rank-math/

    Thank You

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with the variables in Rank Math. Thank you for providing detailed descriptions of the problems.

    1. Territory Variable: It seems that the "territory" variable is not a standard variable available in Rank Math. You may need to create a custom variable using the filter provided in our documentation.

    2. News Category Variable: Similar to the territory variable, if the news category variable is not pulling data, it might require custom implementation. You can refer to our guide on using variables in SEO titles and descriptions for more information.

    3. Department Variable for Team Members: For the department variable, if it is not pulling data, you may need to ensure that it is correctly registered as a custom variable. Again, our documentation can guide you on how to set this up.

    4. Custom Term Data: If the custom term data is not being pulled, please ensure that the custom term is correctly defined and that you are using the right syntax in your setup.

For all these issues, we recommend checking our filter to create variables and ensuring that your code snippets are correctly implemented.

If you continue to experience difficulties, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we hope to resolve this issue for you soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

You need to register these values into variables so you can use them in the metadata.

Here’s a guide on how to create custom variables in Rank Math:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/variables-in-seo-title-description/#how-to-add-custom-variables

Once done, you can use that variable in the metadata to fetch the matched information.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

    Thank you.
