    Hello,

I am currently building a website using WordPress. I am using the Avada theme. As I am nearing the completion of the website, I am trying to configure the SEO settings. However, I am facing an issue. The snippet editor is not being applied to the pages designated as static pages. No matter what method I use, it does not work. When I edit and save the static pages, the changes are applied. However, only the snippet editor and focus keywords are not being saved. Other pages save correctly, but it does not work for static pages. Please suggest a solution.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with the snippet editor not saving on static pages in your WordPress website using the Avada theme. This issue could be related to various factors, including conflicts with plugins or JavaScript errors.

To address this problem, please follow these steps:

    1. Plugin Conflicts: There might be conflicts with other plugins causing the issue. You can check for plugin conflicts by following our guide on checking plugin conflicts.

    2. JavaScript Errors: JavaScript-related errors can also prevent the snippet editor from saving. You can diagnose JavaScript errors in your browser’s console. Here’s how to check JavaScript errors in Chrome.

    3. Firewall Blocking Access: If you are using a firewall, it might be blocking access to certain files needed for saving the data. Check if Rank Math is being blocked by your firewall and whitelist the necessary files as mentioned in our guide.

If after following these steps, the issue persists, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We are here to help you resolve this issue and ensure your SEO settings work correctly on all pages of your website.

I have tried the solution provided above, but the issue remains unresolved. The static pages are not being applied correctly, which is puzzling. I copied the static page, edited the snippet on the copied page, and applied the focus keyword, but it still doesn’t work. Could you please advise on what might be causing this problem and how to resolve it?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is usually caused by some sort of blockage on the route to save the metadata on the website, a conflict with plugins, a javascript error, or a firewall-related issue.

Here is how you can fix it:

    • Firstly, ensure that you have the latest version of Rank Math installed on your site.
    • Check if your firewall or security plugin is blocking access to Rank Math’s files. You can do this by looking at your firewall logs and seeing if there are any blocked requests to these files:
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getFeaturedImageId
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getHead

If you see any blocked requests, you need to whitelist Rank Math and its files in your firewall or security plugin settings.

I attempted the provided solutions, but the issue remains unresolved. The Rank Math plugin is set to auto-update to the latest version. Since I use the Avada theme, I have the Avada Builder and Avada Core plugins installed. Other installed plugins include All-in-One WP Migration, KBoard (for forums and comments), Rank Math SEO, and Under Construction. I am at a loss on how to fix this problem. Is creating a new page from scratch the only viable solution?

Thanks for the detailed explanation! It sounds like you’ve done a lot of troubleshooting already. For your issue with the snippet editor on static pages, you might try:

    1. **Checking Plugin Conflicts**: Disable other plugins temporarily to see if there’s a conflict.
    2. **Updating Theme and Plugins**: Ensure that both the Avada theme and any SEO plugins are updated to the latest versions.
    3. **Clearing Caches**: Clear any caches from caching plugins or your browser.
    4. **Reviewing Theme Settings**: Sometimes, theme-specific settings can affect how plugins interact with your pages.

Just as refining your SEO settings ensures better visibility and performance for your site, effectively managing and optimizing listings and client interactions on platforms like [spam] can enhance overall efficiency and user experience.

Hello. I am currently on vacation. I will respond once I return.

    Hello,

Sure! If the issue persists, you can share your WordPress and FTP logins after returning from vacation.

We’ll be here to assist you.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your help. Although I am still on vacation, I am currently redeveloping static pages before my vacation ends. For the new pages, I am editing the snippets beforehand and then creating the pages. As a result, the snippet edits have been applied. Once the new pages are completed, I plan to set them as static pages. I also intend to delete the currently applied static pages. Is this an acceptable solution? Could there be any issues where the snippet edits disappear or are not applied properly when I set the new pages as static pages after creation?

    Hello,

We’re not entirely sure we understand what you mean by ‘static pages’. Are you referring to WordPress pages or are you using a custom plugin to create the ‘static page’? Or are speaking about your WordPress static homepage? Please share more details so we can better assist you.

If the snippets are working when in a certain action, you can use the workaround until after your vacation, and then provide us with access to the website so we can investigate and resolve the issue.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
