    Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I’m encountering an issue with my website’s sitemap. Although I’ve verified everything with my hosting provider, they’ve confirmed that everything is fine on their end. However, search engines are unable to access the sitemap.

I have checked the robots.txt file, and it seems the necessary directive for the sitemap is missing. I’ve added the following line in the Rank Math > General Settings > Robots.txt Editor section, but the issue persists:

    arduino
    Copy
    Edit
    Sitemap: https://khukuri.lu/sitemap_index.xml
Could you please assist in troubleshooting this issue and let me know if there’s something further I need to do on my end?

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,
    Subas Khanal

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap accessibility. Thank you for raising this concern.

It seems like you have already added the necessary directive in your robots.txt file. To ensure that your sitemap is accessible, please follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Robots.txt File: Make sure that your robots.txt file includes the following lines:

      User-agent: *
      Disallow: /wp-admin/
      Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
      Sitemap: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

You can edit your robots.txt file by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit robots.txt. If you don’t see this option, ensure that you are in Advanced Mode in Rank Math.
      Edit robots.txt

    2. Regenerate Your Robots.txt File: If the issue persists, try regenerating your robots.txt file to ensure that it reflects the latest changes.

    3. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins may interfere with the functionality of Rank Math. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.

    4. Contact Your Hosting Provider: If everything seems correct on your end, it might be worth reaching out to your hosting provider again to ensure there are no server-level restrictions affecting access to your sitemap.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you!

I tried all of these mentioned above. Thanks

    Hello,

We checked your sitemap but couldn’t find any issue there:

In this case, please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, clear your website cache, remove all the submitted sitemap, and resubmit only the /sitemap_index.xml in the Search Console.

If the issue persists, you can share a screenshot with us by using any image-sharing tool like https://imgur.com/upload so that we can check this further for you.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
