    Hi RankMath Support,

I’m facing an issue with schema markup and page indexing on my website, which focuses on Summertime Saga APK iOS. Despite enabling schema types for articles and ensuring proper on-page SEO settings, Google Search Console shows that some of the key pages are marked as “Discovered – currently not indexed.”

Additionally, the FAQ schema set through RankMath isn’t appearing in the SERP previews, even though it’s correctly configured and passes Rich Results testing.

Could this be due to the niche nature of the content or something specific to how RankMath handles schema for APK/iOS-related keywords? I’ve cleared cache, resubmitted sitemaps, and even tried disabling conflicting plugins, but the issue persists.

Any insights or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with schema markup and page indexing on your website. It sounds like you’ve taken several important steps to troubleshoot the problem, which is great.

Here are a few things to consider regarding your situation:

    1. Page Indexing: The status "Discovered – currently not indexed" in Google Search Console can occur for various reasons. Google may choose not to index certain pages based on their quality, relevance, or the niche nature of the content. Ensure that your content is high-quality, unique, and adheres to Google’s guidelines. You can also check the structured data guidelines to ensure compliance.

    2. Schema Markup: Even if your FAQ schema is correctly configured and passes the Rich Results testing, Google ultimately decides whether to display rich snippets in search results. Factors such as content quality, site authority, and competition can influence this.

    3. Testing Your Rich Snippets: You can use Google’s Rich Results Testing Tool to verify that your schema markup is implemented correctly. This tool can help identify any potential issues that might not be immediately apparent.

    4. Re-indexing: After making changes, it may take time for Google to re-index your pages. Be patient, as this process can sometimes take weeks.

    5. Quality Issues: Ensure that your site does not have any quality issues that could affect indexing, such as thin content or poor user experience.

If you continue to experience issues, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or specific errors you might be encountering. A human agent from our support team will be able to assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!

    Hello,

The Discovered – currently not indexed indicates Google has discovered the page, and even wants to crawl the page. But this was expected to cause an overload on the site, hence, Google has rescheduled the crawl.

As a result, Google may delay this crawl for several days after it has been discovered, and the crawl status would remain empty until then.

However, after checking your page, we can see all the schema markups are getting detected as valid, but they are not coming from the Rank Math plugin. Even Rank Math is not adding any schema to your page.

It seems like the Schema markups are added by your theme or any other plugin you’re using on your website. To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
