    Hi Rank Math Support,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Redirections module on my WordPress site that is interfering with WP Tiger’s magic login links.

    Here’s the situation:

WP Tiger generates temporary login URLs like https://www.mysite.com/?pass=XXXXXXXX to log in automatically.

When I click these links, instead of logging in, I am redirected to the homepage.

I have isolated the problem to the Redirections module in Rank Math. When it is deactivated, the magic login links work correctly.

I have tried creating exceptions using regex for URLs containing ?pass=, but the redirections still block the links.

Could you please advise the best way to allow WP Tiger magic login links to work while keeping the Redirections module active?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Tom

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Redirections module interfering with WP Tiger’s magic login links. Thank you for providing detailed information about the problem.

To resolve this, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check Existing Redirects: First, ensure that there are no existing redirects in the Rank Math Redirections Manager that might be affecting the magic login links. Look for any rules that could be redirecting URLs containing ?pass=.

    2. Create a Specific Exception: If you haven’t already, create a specific redirect rule that allows URLs with ?pass= to bypass the redirection. You can do this by adding a new redirect rule:

      • Source URL: ^.*pass=.*$
      • Destination URL: Leave this blank or set it to the same URL.
      • Select the Regex option to ensure it matches correctly.
    3. Debugging: Use the Debug Redirection feature in Rank Math to see which redirect is being triggered when you click on the magic login link. This can help identify if there’s a conflicting rule.

      • You can enable this feature by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Redirections and enabling the Debug option.
    4. Testing: After making these changes, test the magic login links again to see if they work as expected.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more tailored assistance.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to resolve this issue for you soon!

    Hello,

The proposed solution does allow me to accept the URL ?path= and redirect it to the page I want (in this case, I set it to the homepage). However, it does not automatically log me into the WordPress admin as it should with WpTiger.

    Best regards,
    Tom.

    Hello,

The ability to redirect with a parameter is only available with Rank Math PRO, so this must be the reason why the magic link is not working when Rank Math’s redirect is enabled.

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

    Thank you.
