Issue with multiple Websites in GSC copied to database

    Rank Math free

I have a comment about RankMath.

I have combined several websites that have nothing to do with each other in one Google Search Console account.

If I now install RankMath on one of these websites, there is an entry in the WordPress database under “database name”_options, in which all websites from the Google Search Console are listed.

I am of the opinion that the search engine Brave has used this entry to index two websites together in one SERP entry. In this case, the address and phone number of one website and the content of another together in one search result.
So a client called me and asked what I had to do with the other company, where I am only the webmaster.

Are you aware of this problem and what can you do about it?

In my opinion, RankMath should not enter the complete list of all GSC websites in the database.

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your concern regarding RankMath. It seems like you are experiencing an issue where multiple websites from Google Search Console are being combined in the WordPress database when installing RankMath on one of the websites. This can lead to unexpected behavior in search engine results, as you described.

To address this issue, I recommend following these steps:

    1. Database Cleanup: You can manually remove the entries related to other websites from the database to ensure that only the relevant website’s data is stored. However, please proceed with caution when making direct changes to the database.

    2. Contact Support: If you are unsure about modifying the database directly, or if you need further assistance with this issue, please reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket here. Our team will investigate the issue and provide you with the necessary guidance to resolve it.

By taking these steps, you can ensure that only the correct website data is associated with RankMath in the WordPress database, helping to prevent any unwanted mixing of information in search engine results.

If you have any more questions or need additional assistance, feel free to let us know. We are here to help!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that the correct way to use our plugin on a multisite setup is to install them on the network but only activate them on specific subsites. So, if you have activated the free version of the Rank Math plugin on the network, please deactivate this on the network and then activate it on the subsite.

Regarding the database tables, please note that Rank Math only fetches the data from your Google accounts and stores them on your database table and it should affect the indexing of your websites.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
